My Work
I believe that humans have tremendous resiliency and the innate possibility for growth, change, and self-learning. I believe that you have all that you need in order make the changes you want to make in your life. At times, we all need a little guidance in order to rediscover the parts of ourselves that hold these strengths.
I see myself as a empathic, supportive, and curious guide who believes in you to rewrite your story. Therapy is a collaborative process and a safe therapeutic relationship is vital to this process. Above all else, I think my greatest skill is developing a solid, safe, and nurturing therapeutic relationship for you to do the work
Solutions and possibilities live within you, and my main focus is to help you bring these into awareness and make choices toward your preferred ways of living.
I use a holistic perspective to engage your mind, body, and spirit. My framework for engaging clients in therapy is grounded in the use of narrative therapy, psychodynamic, family systems theory, brief therapy, and trauma informed practices.
I use techniques that draw from expressive arts, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist clients in delving deeper into their experiences and bringing forth creative solutions for their identified problems.
My work seeks to balance the valuable cognitive skills with the wisdom of the body through use of daily practices and actions that can help you plug into the innate strengths that already reside within you. Together, we work to identify a plan of daily practices and small steps in order to make movement towards your identified goals.
I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing grief, loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
(I am currently not accepting referrals for post-adoption work, and family therapy.)
My Clients
My clients are ready to make changes in their lives and need a safe harbor to explore, get curious, and bring awareness to the patterns that limit their ability to live their preferred lives.
The clients that work best with me are those that are ready to dig into the deeper aspects of their story, face the deepest beliefs they hold about themselves, and commit to daily small practices in order to foster change and growth. My clients set the pace for how this work is done and ultimately choose from a variety of creative and mindful strategies that might assist them in their lives.
